Best Places For A Home Camera System In Your Home

A home camera system is something more people are installing to remotely monitor their home. What are the best locations in your house for home monitors?

With about 240 burglaries happening every hour in the US, you should reflect how you can have piece of mind about your place. For many people, adding a home video monitor means being able to know what’s happening at home at any time of the day or night. In fact, the statistics show that homes with security systems are three times less likely to be broken in.

Helmet video monitor is a wireless home camera system that streams video to your mobile device – a smartphone or tablet. The great thing about it is that you can add on as many cameras as you want into one companion app. The monitor will stream 1080p HD quality video, and send you alert notifications if sound or motion is detected. Also, the monitor will take a series of photos or a short video when an alert situation is recognized.

So what are the best spots in your house for the home camera system?

Front Door

Specialists recommend installing one home video monitor aimed at the front door, since the prevailing number of burglars come through the front door. Place it out of immediate reach of the burglar. For instance, you can install it on the second floor and tilt it to show the first floor.

First Floor Windows

Place one home monitor by first floor windows that are most likely to be broken into. Hint: it’s usually the ones that are not facing the street. Keep the monitor far enough not to be knocked off by breaking glass.

Back Door

Back door is another popular place of entry. While the majority of burglaries happen during daytime, having a home monitor with night vision is a good idea. Make sure this camera is also out of immediate reach and would not be easily smashed.
