St. Patrick’s Decorations For Your Pet, Your Home, Your Family

March 17, 2016Family, Interior Design, PetsNo CommentsEva Nikandrova

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We prepared some ideas on how to set the mood for the day to include everything and everyone from your pet, to your home, and family.

St. Patrick’s Day for everyone from pet to home

St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday that we owe to Ireland and its saint, St. Patrick. Traditionally people wear green on this day – the color of shamrock, Irish flag, and also the color that is said to scare off leprechauns. If you’re bored of sporting cheap one dollar accessories, we have some ideas for adding a hint of green to your life in a more tasteful day. We tried not to leave anyone or anything out, and decorate everything and everyone today!

Bring green hues to your home with green foods and decor

Home

It is easy to add some green hue to your house with these options:

  • display limes and green apples in the kitchen
  • add green pillows or a throw to your living room couch
  • break out green napkins or a green tablecloth for the kitchen
  • add some green-colored blooms for the entire apartment
Don't forget about your pet!

Pet

Don’t forget about your furry best friend! Involve your pet by doing this:

  • get them a green colored collar or a pet outfit
  • buy some pet treats in green color
  • if you have a light colored pet, try coloring their fur green with pet-safe dyes
  • get a green pet bed for your cat or dog

Family

Who doesn’t like to dress up for a holiday? Let your loved ones have fun with these ideas:

  • dye your husband’s mustache or kids hair in green (hair chalk is safe and washes out right away)
  • add some green color to the meals with natural food coloring (spinach or liquid chlorophyll)
  • if your work dress code is quite strict, try wearing green socks, green scarf, or a handbag
  • go for green colored accessories: nail polish, flower pins, sunglasses, hat or necklace
